Apollo Theater 

Did you know that some of the best theatres in NYC are in Harlem? There are only a few theatres that have a rich history as the legendary Apollo Theater. George Keister designed and constructed this building in 1914 initially for a whites-only burlesque theater. Back in 1934, Sidney Cohen has purchased this theater and opens its doors for Harlem’s black community. As the theater became famous during years, big stars like James Brown, Jackson 5 and Beyoncé performed here. Beacon Theatre

Beacon Theatre is located in Broadway and its history begins in 1926 when film producer Herbert Lubin made the determination that NY needs a chain of movie theatres for motion pictures. This theater owns 2,894 seats and it is designed by architect Walter Ahlschlager. Walter wanted to make this place looks luxurious and deluxe so he added neo-Grecian details such as gilded plaster moldings, marble floors, a huge corridor mural, and bronze doors. The Public Theater 

The Public Theater is a Bronx landmark and one of the very first buildings to be that, pronounced back in 1965. This building was once a library created by John Jacob Astor. but initially, it was made as to the Shakespeare Workshop in 1954 by Joseph Papp, with the intention of showcasing the works of up-and-coming playwrights and performers.
